Vera Kay's zest for life is rooted in her Appalachian heritage and fostered by hard working parents who found beauty in the world around them. God and family and friends are whats important in her life, it's what has gotten her to where she is today. Spending much of her time photographing subjects that stir her creative talents, reproducing famous landmarks on paper is one of her specialties, but her favorite subject is capturing the innocence of children. Although still an upcoming artist, she is well known in her community, working in acrylics, oils, and her favorite pencil. She has developed her own sensitive style and technique that captures her subjects on paper in crisp detail, which has become her trademark.
